Feeling Good Starts on the Inside

Men's body is like a Toyota - strong, reliable, can go for miles with just few tune-ups. Small, regular service will keep it running - change the oil, make sure it has enough water, check the tires, put the fuel in and it's good to go. Doesn't it sound same as men? Good feed, good drink, work their muscles and they're happy.

Women on the other hand are like Porsches - beautiful inside out with constant maintenance. We wax, we tan, we wrap, we inject, we suck things out and tuck things in, we scrub and we polish... and every time it's a major service, far more often then every 100,000 km.

But in our defense, female body has few more functions than male's and a lot more buttons to push!

However, no matter how gorgeous and attractive exterior of a car is, it would be nothing without insides and the engine that keeps it going, right?

I can't help but think it's the same with humans - our soul, our heart and mind keeps us going. We're at our best when we believe in ourselves, when our mind is focused on what's really important in life, when we're connected to others and most of all when we're happy.

Inner beauty is the most important feature in a woman. Just like beautiful Porsches, outside is only a shell for what's inside and what keeps us going.

Often, when marketing my products by posting images or holding fashion shows, I hear comments like: "Yeah, looks good on her!" or "Does the body come with it?" No product can deliver the inner beauty. No outer beauty can be enjoyed without inner beauty. How we feel and function inside will determine how we feel about all the things on the outside.

Remember the fairy tales we read as kids? All the heroes were handsome and all the heroines and princesses were beautiful. They were also honest and kind characters always performing right and honourable actions.

Remember the stepmother and stepsisters from Cinderella? They were nasty, arrogant and mean characters... and also the ugly ones!

Your inner beauty and happiness will shine through your outsides - through your eyes, your smile, your posture and your kind words.

Nurture your inner beauty the same way you do your outer beauty. Groom your spirit and individuality daily. Spend the same time exhibiting your compassion, optimism, grace, kindness, intelligence and creativity as you would styling your hair, polishing your nails, putting the make up on or choosing the right outfit.

Today's superficial world often gets us confused about what the beauty really is. Even those blessed with all the right physical features aren't always blessed with inner happiness. Surround yourself with people who understand and appreciate the inner beauty. "Attitudes and values are often as contagious as flu" - if you want more inner beauty in your life you need to be surrounded by people who share same healthy ideals.

And always remember - "Taking joy in living is a woman's best cosmetics".
